PAR 38
Due to their wide and diverse application, PAR light bulbs may have a large portion of the energy utilized to light a house or business. Around a workplace or house you can see them in plenty of areas including: recessed can lights, track lighting, house safety lighting, stage lighting and utilize as person spotlights in museums and galleries. These programs often use high wattage bulbs operating for several hours per day which makes them prime candidates of replacement with energy efficient PAR Light-emitting diode bulbs. Depending upon the application, a PAR Light-emitting diode bulb will generally last five to ten times provided that a halogen or incandescent PAR bulb when decreasing energy intake by seventy percent or more.

PAR Light-emitting diode bulbs may differ widely in quality, color temperature, ray angle and quite a few other factors.

Here are five things to think about before making your purchase: 1. Size of the PAR bulb: You can easily determine what size PAR bulb you're trying to replace even if you've thrown away the packaging and\/or your bulb is not clearly marked. The two numbers immediately after the PAR designation are a dimension of their bulbs diameter in eighths of an inch. For instance, a PAR38 bulb may have a diameter of 4.75 inches.

Here are a few common PAR bulbs and their diameters: PAR16 Light-emitting diode Bulb: 2 PAR20 Light-emitting diode Bulb: 2.5 PAR30 Light-emitting diode Bulb: 3.75 PAR38 Light-emitting diode Bulb: 4.752. Beam angle: Do you know the ray angle of the bulb you are replacing? The ray angle of a bulb is measured as their angle between their two directions compared to another where the light intensity is 50% of the maximum radiant intensity. In simpler terms, the ray angle gives one a feeling of how broad the ray spreads out when emitted from their bulb and may vary from a narrow reflector for a very wide floodlight. A PAR Light-emitting diode spotlight will usually have a ray angle of twenty degrees or less when a PAR Light-emitting diode floodlight
